SEGA Announces Sonic 35th Anniversary Orchestra Concert

SEGA has officially announced a new live concert event celebrating the 35th anniversary of the iconic video game franchise “Sonic the Hedgehog”.
The upcoming “SONIC – LIVE! A Musical Odyssey of Sonic the Hedgehog” concert will allow fans to experience the legendary music of the series like never before.

The globally recognized blue blur is preparing to celebrate his monumental 35th anniversary this year on June 23, 2026.
Since his original video game debut in 1991, the speedy hedgehog has become one of the most recognizable characters in the entire entertainment industry.

The franchise has expanded far beyond traditional platforming games to include blockbuster theatrical films, animated television series, and extensive merchandise lines.
A massive part of the property’s enduring legacy is its incredible soundtrack, which features high-energy rock anthems, catchy vocal tracks, and memorable electronic beats.

This special live performance will take fans on a nostalgic journey through 35 years of video game history using the power of music.
A specially formed live band and full orchestra will perform classic songs alongside memorable scenes from various titles.

Renowned video game composer and guitarist Jun Senoue is confirmed to appear as a special guest performer during the show.
The musical celebration will take place at the Hitomi Memorial Hall located within Showa Women’s University in Tokyo.

Fans can attend the performance on Sunday, June 28, 2026, with doors opening at 5:00 PM JST before a 6:00 PM JST start time.
Premium S-Seat tickets are priced at 16,000 yen (approx. $105 USD / £83 GBP) and include exclusive bonus merchandise.

Standard A-Seat tickets are available for 9,900 yen (approx. $65 USD / £51 GBP).
Children under the age of three will not be permitted entry to the venue.

An initial advance lottery for securing early reservations opened on Monday, March 16, 2026, at 6:00 PM JST.
Applications for the advance lottery will be accepted through the eplus ticketing platform until Monday, March 23, 2026, at 11:59 PM JST.

Dedicated application portals are currently available for both Japanese residents and overseas fans looking to make the trip to Japan for the event.
General ticket sales will subsequently begin on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 12:00 PM JST.
