Sanrio Announces Worldwide Release for Hello Kitty and Friends' Adorable New Fantasy RPG

Sanrio has confirmed that its upcoming smartphone game “Fragaria Memories: Color of Wishes” will receive a global release in Fall 2027, at the same time as revealing a new trailer offering another look at the 18 knights who will appear in the game.

The announcement was made during Tokyo Game Show 2026, narrowing the previous 2027 release window and confirming that fans outside Japan will be able to experience the first Fragaria Memories game at the same time.

Fragaria Memories began in September 2023 as one of Sanrio’s more unusual multimedia projects, building an original fantasy world around human knights who serve familiar Sanrio favorites including Hello Kitty, My Melody, Pompompurin, Cinnamoroll, Kuromi and Badtz-Maru.

Those Sanrio favorites are known as “Lords” within Fragaria World, with each protected by their own knight as mysterious beings called SEEDS threaten the world around them.

The 18 knights are divided between the Red Bouquet, Blue Bouquet and Noir Bouquet, representing the three continents that make up Fragaria World.

Hello Kitty’s knight Hallritt sits at the center of the story, setting out on a journey after his Lord asks him to save the world, while the other knights begin taking action to protect their own Lords.

The wider Fragaria Memories project has developed that story through original songs, voice dramas, live performances and stage productions, before Sanrio announced in November 2025 that the franchise would receive its first smartphone game.

“Color of Wishes” is being jointly developed by Sanrio and Ateam Entertainment, with newly created game artwork for the knights and their Lords revealed shortly before the latest announcement at Tokyo Game Show.

The newly released trailer offers a closer look at those designs while also showing several of the knights in motion for the first time, including Hallritt, Cielomort and Badobarm.

Hallritt is voiced by Gakuto Kajiwara and serves Hello Kitty, while Cielomort serves Cinnamoroll and is voiced by Nobunaga Shimazaki, with Shunsuke Takeuchi voicing Badtz-Maru’s knight Badobarm.

All three represent a different Bouquet, with Hallritt belonging to Red Bouquet, Cielomort to Blue Bouquet and Badobarm to Noir Bouquet, giving the new footage a glimpse at each of the three main groups that make up the cast.

The game was one of three upcoming titles featured during Sanrio Games’ first appearance at Tokyo Game Show, joining the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 party game “Sanrio Partyland” and upcoming mobile rhythm game “Sanrio Kawaii Me Live!”.

While Sanrio has now revealed more of the knights and confirmed when players can expect the game, further details about how “Color of Wishes” will actually play have yet to be announced.

“Fragaria Memories: Color of Wishes” will be released worldwide for iOS and Android in Fall 2027 as a free-to-play game with optional in-app purchases.
