Sanrio has announced that Sanrio Games will make its first-ever appearance at Tokyo Game Show 2026, letting fans get hands on with a number of new games whilst enjoying live performances and appearances from Kuromi, Pompompurin and more of their most popular mascots.

Sanrio Games was established in April 2026 as Sanrio’s first in-house game brand, creating a new way for the company to build games around its characters while connecting them with merchandise, theme parks and its wider entertainment business.

The company will occupy both a main exhibition booth and an area inside the Family Game Park, marking the biggest public showcase yet for the gaming brand Sanrio launched earlier this year.

Three upcoming games will headline its Tokyo Game Show debut, beginning with “Sanrio Partyland” for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.

The party game brings Sanrio characters together for a collection of minigames while also including character customization and a sticker book, with visitors able to play the game ahead of its launch later this year.

“Sanrio Kawaii Me Live!” will also receive an early playable demo, offering the first Tokyo Game Show visitors a chance to experience the upcoming mobile rhythm and dance game before its planned 2027 release.

Players can perform songs connected with Sanrio characters and customize both characters and the live stages appearing during performances, with the game built around an intentionally colorful “super kawaii” presentation.

Japanese rock band Polkadot Stingray is also creating an original song specifically for Sanrio Kawaii Me Live!, with vocalist and guitarist Shizuku appearing at a September 19 talk event to discuss the collaboration and development of the track.

The third featured title is “Fragaria Memories Color of Wishes,” the upcoming mobile game based on Sanrio’s knight-themed Fragaria Memories project.

While Color of Wishes will not be playable at the show, Sanrio will reveal newly drawn game artwork of its Knights and their respective Lords for the first time through a large installation inside the booth.

Voice actors Gakuto Kajiwara, who plays Hallritt, and Shunsuke Takeuchi, who voices Badobarm, will also appear during a dedicated Fragaria Memories stage on September 19, where new information about the game is scheduled to be revealed.
