Resident Evil Requiem Takes Over Tokyo Taxis To Celebrate Game’s Launch

The Japanese taxi application S.RIDE has officially launched an exciting new collaboration featuring the highly anticipated survival horror video game Resident Evil Requiem.
This promotional campaign brings the terrifying atmosphere of the upcoming Capcom title to the streets of Tokyo through a limited fleet of specially decorated vehicles.

Resident Evil is a legendary multimedia franchise that first debuted in 1996 and essentially defined the modern survival horror genre.
The series is famous for placing players in terrifying situations filled with zombies, mutated creatures, and sinister corporate conspiracies.

Over the decades, the beloved property has expanded into numerous blockbuster video games, Hollywood films, and extensive merchandise lines.
The newest entry in the long-running series promises to push the boundaries of fear and excitement with a unique dual-narrative structure.
Players will experience pure and trembling horror through the perspective of a brand new character named Grace Ashcroft, who works as an FBI analyst.

The game will also offer an exhilarating and action-packed experience as players take control of the veteran agent Leon S. Kennedy.
Leon is a fan-favorite protagonist who first appeared as a rookie police officer in the second game before evolving into a highly capable government operative.

The two contrasting gameplay styles are designed to deeply shake the emotions of the players and deliver an unforgettable story.
To celebrate the launch of this terrifying new adventure, a total of ten specially wrapped taxis will be deployed across the city.

The exterior of these vehicles features striking visual artwork of the two main protagonists, with Grace on one side and Leon on the other.

Fans utilizing the S.RIDE application can specifically request to be picked up by one of these exclusive promotional cabs.
While the campaign is active, the vehicle icons displayed on the digital map within the app will change to a special themed design.

Passengers riding in the back seats of these specific cars will also be treated to exclusive promotional videos playing on the internal digital signage monitors.
This exciting promotional event is taking place across the 23 wards of Tokyo, as well as the Musashino and Mitaka areas in Japan.
The collaborative taxi campaign began rolling out on Monday, February 23, 2026, and will conclude on Sunday, March 1, 2026.
The video game itself is scheduled to be released worldwide on PlayStation 5 and other modern hardware platforms on Friday, February 27, 2026.
