Gundam SEED’s Force Impulse Gundam Gets New Deactive Mode Gunpla Kit
Bandai Spirits has announced the start of orders for a new release that adds another iconic mobile suit from Gundam SEED to the Real Grade model kit line.
The “RG 1/144 Force Impulse Gundam Deactive Mode” is a highly detailed replica of the transforming mobile suit that famously served as the personal unit for Shinn Asuka in the animated series Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny.
The long-running series explores a bitter conflict fought using highly advanced humanoid weapons.
Within the SEED universe, many high-performance machines are equipped with special Phase Shift armor that renders them virtually immune to physical attacks while active.
This unique defensive technology requires a constant supply of energy to maintain its vibrant, protective coloration in the heat of battle.
Whenever a mobile suit runs out of power or shuts down, the armor shifts into a muted, gray-toned state known as Deactive Mode.
Fans now have the opportunity to build a color-accurate representation of the drained Force Impulse Gundam, complete with its striking monochromatic gray color scheme.
The Force Impulse Gundam is known for its unique Silhouette System, which allows it to adapt to various combat situations by swapping out specialized equipment backpacks.
To supplement this exciting new release, Bandai Spirits is also offering reissues of four classic Deactive Mode kits from the SEED universe.
Builders can complete their displays with these returning favorites, ensuring that the legendary battles of the series can be recreated in stunning detail.
