Prototype revealed for upcoming Nendoroid of Junji Ito’s Tomie

Fans have been given the best look yet at an upcoming Nendoroid figure which will bring one of the most iconic and terrifying characters from the world of horror manga to the popular chibi-style figure line.
Nendoroid Tomie is based on the character as she appears in the anime series Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre.

Nendoroids are a popular line of chibi-style, posable figures known for including a variety of interchangeable parts.
Tomie is perhaps the most famous creation of the legendary horror manga artist Junji Ito.

She is an immortal succubus, a beautiful and mysterious girl who entrances men, driving them to fits of jealous rage and often to murder, which frequently results in her own, brutal dismemberment.

However, every piece of her body can regenerate into a new, perfect copy of herself, allowing her to endlessly propagate and continue her reign of terror.
This new figure is being produced by Good Smile Arts Shanghai, and it will be a super-deformed, “cute” version of the terrifying femme fatale.

The unpainted prototype of the new figure has been revealed, giving fans a first look at the sculpt.
This new release offers a unique and charmingly creepy new interpretation of one of the most famous characters in the history of the horror genre.
Further details regarding the figure’s accessories, price, and a potential release window have not yet been announced and more information is scheduled to be revealed at a later date.
