Pre-Orders Open for New Monster Hunter x Zoids Collaboration Model Kits
Takara Tomy has opened pre-orders for two new crossover model kits, Wild Liger Zinogre and Wild Liger Stygian Zinogre, as part of the latest collaboration between the Monster Hunter and Zoids franchises.
These recently announced kits form the third installment in the ongoing partnership between the two well-known series.
Both releases are based on the Wild Liger from the Zoids Wild anime and have been reimagined with designs inspired by monsters from Capcom’s Monster Hunter universe.
Wild Liger Zinogre takes its visual cues from the iconic Zinogre, while Wild Liger Stygian Zinogre is modeled after the Stygian Zinogre subspecies variant.
The designs combine armed mechanical beasts with markings and styling intended to resemble powerful monsters, capturing the atmosphere of hunters pursuing dangerous prey.
Each kit is supplied as a collection of separate parts that must be assembled before operation.
After construction, the models feature motorized action mechanisms capable of recreating the characteristic roaring movements associated with their Monster Hunter inspirations.
Both releases also include light-gathering eye components that reflect surrounding light to create a glowing appearance.
Their monster-themed armor, weapon details, and animated functions blend elements from both franchises into distinctive hybrid designs.
The standard Wild Liger Zinogre model is available to pre-order through general hobby retailers, while the Stygian Zinogre-inspired Wild Liger Stygian Zinogre is a limited-distribution release available exclusively through Takara Tomy Mall and participating T-SPARK ZONE retailers.
Pre-orders for both models are priced at 7,700 yen each (approx. $53 USD/ £39 GBP), with Wild Liger Zinogre scheduled for release in late January 2027 and Wild Liger Stygian Zinogre planned to follow in late February 2027.
