Pokémon Winds and Waves to Feature Special New Pikachu Versions
The Pokémon Company has officially unveiled the first trailer for the upcoming generation of its world-famous Pokémon franchise, revealing two new special versions of the series mascot, Pikachu.
“Pokémon Winds and Waves” for the Nintendo Switch 2 will feature the two variants, known in Japan as Kazepika-kun (Wind Pikachu) and Namipika-chan (Wave Pikachu).
These unique characters appear in the debut footage wearing stylish coastal outfits that perfectly suit the tropical atmosphere of the new region.
Both Kazepika-kun and Namipika-chan sport a distinctive sun-kissed skin tone that distinguishes them from the standard yellow appearance of the species.
Fans are curious to see how these specific mascots will interact with the player throughout the story as they appear to have a central role in the narrative.
The trailer also provided the first look at the three new partner Pokémon that will accompany trainers on their journey.
The new Grass-type starter is Browt, a small bird with adorable leaf style eyebrows.
