Pikmin gummy candy returns with new collectables and revamped flavors

Fans of Nintendo’s Pikmin franchise are in for a treat as Bandai Candy is set to re-release its popular “Pikmin Mascot & Fruit Gummy” series.
The gummy candies will soon return to stores in Japan with revamped flavors and new collectable mascots.

The Pikmin series, created by Shigeru Miyamoto and developed by Nintendo, first debuted in 2001 on the Nintendo GameCube.
It’s known for its unique real-time strategy gameplay, where players control Captain Olimar and command an army of colorful, plant-like creatures called Pikmin to explore alien worlds, battle indigenous creatures and collect treasures.

The most recent main installment, Pikmin 4, released in July 2023 for the Nintendo Switch and introduced new Pikmin types like Ice Pikmin and Glow Pikmin.
Due to popular demand for the initial release of Pikmin themed candy, a new range dubbed “Pikmin Mascot & Fruit Gummy 2” has been produced by Bandai Candy.

Each set, affordably priced at 385 yen, includes a pre-painted PVC mascot mini-figure equipped with a ball chain and a pouch of fruit gummies.
The mascot lineup features a total of nine different Pikmin types including the popular Ice Pikmin and Glow Pikmin from Pikmin 4.

The Ice Pikmin mascot is crafted from a transparent clear material, effectively capturing its icy nature, while the Glow Pikmin mascot is a special phosphorescent material that glows in the dark, mirroring its in-game ability to illuminate dark areas.
The other Pikmin mascots in the lineup (Red, Blue, Yellow, Rock, White, Winged, and Purple Pikmin) are largely the same as the initial release but will feature different leafs and flowers sprouting on the top of their heads this time around.

The revamped fruit gummies, weighing 27g per pack, are also highlighted as being “even more delicious” than before and will be provided in a trio of flavors: apple, lemon and grape.
“Pikmin Mascot & Fruit Gummy 2” in the candy sections of supermarkets, convenience stores and toys shops across Japan starting from Monday, May 26th 2025.
