Orders open for new see-through model kit of Gundam SEED’s Strike Freedom Gundam

A new and exclusive version has been announced for the popular and highly acclaimed “Master Grade Extreme” (MGEX) model kit of the Strike Freedom Gundam.
The “MGEX 1/100 Strike Freedom Gundam [Mechanical Clear]” is part of the “Master Grade Extreme” line of high-end 1/100 scale Gunpla that represents the pinnacle of the Master Grade series, with each release focusing on a different “extreme” point of engineering.

The original “MGEX Strike Freedom Gundam” was a massive success, and its “extreme point” was the pursuit of the “highest metallic expression” in the history of Gunpla.

This was achieved through the use of a multi-layered internal frame that combined three different types of gold plating with a variety of other metallic-molded parts.

This new, “[Mechanical Clear]” version takes that same, incredibly detailed and beautiful metallic inner frame and combines it with a new, clear-colored set of outer armor parts.

This allows the builder to see and appreciate all of the intricate, inner mechanical details of the model, even after it has been fully assembled.

The kit retains all of the other features of the original release, including a complex system of sliding armor panels and a full lineup of accessories, such as its long-range beam rifle, its “Super Lacetra” beam sabers, a beam shield, and a dedicated display base.

Pre-orders for the new model kit began on the Premium Bandai website at midnight on the 10th of October (Japan Standard Time).
