Orders open for new MG 1/100 Gundam Barbatos Lupus model kit

Orders have officially begun for the new “MG 1/100 Gundam Barbatos Lupus” Gunpla kit.
This new Master Grade (MG) kit brings the Gundam Barbatos Lupus from Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans into the 1/100 scale with updated engineering.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, part of the long-running Gundam franchise, introduced a distinct timeline and mechanical design focusing on the “Gundam Frame” mobile suits.
The Gundam Barbatos Lupus is a key variant of the protagonist’s machine, known for its aggressive appearance and combat style.
The Gundam Barbatos Lupus will be realized with a “state-of-the-art Gundam Frame” for its MG rendition.

This update includes improvements to the shoulder joints and a new mechanism for increased forward and backward tilting in the waist, allowing for more fluid and dynamic posing.
The kit also features a synchronized movable armor gimmick behind the knees, which articulates with leg bending movements.
Movable toe and heel armor parts prevent interference, enabling a wider range of action poses.
The backpack incorporates a swing gimmick that avoids hindering articulation, and its arms can be deployed without needing to swap parts.

For weaponry, the model includes 200mm arm cannons with rotating and sliding mechanisms to replicate firing configurations.
Twin Mace weapons come with joint parts for mounting on the backpack.

Additionally, the kit includes a pilot figure of Mikazuki Augus, designed to fit inside the cockpit hatch.
The accessories provided with the kit are:
- Sword Mace x1
- Twin Mace x1 set
- 200mm Arm Cannon x2
- Figures x2 types
- Joint parts x1 set
- Finger tip parts x1 set
- Seals x2 types
The “MG 1/100 Gundam Barbatos Lupus” is scheduled for release in November 2025.
The kit will be priced at ¥7,150 (tax included) and online pre-orders for the model kit began today, June 5th, at most online hobby goods stockists.
