Ground Zero Launches on PC and Console This April

Publisher Kwalee and developer Malformation Games announced on April 1, 2026, that Ground Zero is scheduled to launch on April 16, 2026.
The retro-inspired survival horror title will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.
Set in a post-apocalyptic South Korea, the game follows an elite Korean operative and her Canadian partner as they investigate the aftermath of a devastating meteor impact two months after the event.
Players will explore the ruined city of Busan, encountering mutated monsters and uncovering the mystery behind the strange growths emanating from the impact site.
The gameplay features a mix of firearm and martial combat, rewarding players with Genome Points for efficient kills that can be traded for gear upgrades.
Ground Zero aims to capture the classic spirit of the genre by utilizing fixed camera angles, pre-rendered backgrounds, and optional tank controls.
The experience includes various puzzles and custom difficulty settings to accommodate different player preferences.
Additional content such as alternate outfits, hidden endings, and extra game modes will be available for players to unlock after the initial release.
