New Official Gundam Wing Wireless Earbuds Feature Exclusive Voice Lines from All 5 Pilots
Gundam Wing has teamed up with audio device manufacturer Onkyo to announce a new pair of true wireless earbuds that will see the series’ 5 iconic Gundam pilots return to record new and exclusive voice lines.
Mobile Suit Gundam Wing first premiered in 1995 and became the first Gundam television series to achieve major mainstream success outside Japan, helping introduce an entire generation of Western fans to the franchise through the story of five young pilots sent to Earth as part of Operation Meteor to challenge the rule of the United Earth Sphere Alliance.
Onkyo has previously released earbuds and earphones based on other Gundam series including Iron-Blooded Orphans, Gundam SEED FREEDOM and the original Mobile Suit Gundam.
Their new Gundam Wing earbuds combine Heero Yuy, Duo Maxwell, Trowa Barton, Quatre Raberba Winner and Chang Wufei into a single device that lets you switch between each pilot with a simple tap.
Every pilot features newly recorded Japanese voice lines performed by their original voice actors, with a total of 85 unique phrases covering everything from power on and pairing prompts to touch controls, active noise cancellation, and other system notifications.
The charging case features silhouette artwork of all five Gundam pilots, while the earbuds themselves are decorated with wing-inspired accents that reference the series’ signature mobile suits without overwhelming the clean overall design.
The collaboration is built around Onkyo’s new CP-TWS01F wireless earbuds, featuring Qualcomm’s QCC3072 chipset with support for SBC, AAC and aptX Adaptive codecs for compatible Android devices, alongside Qualcomm TrueWireless Mirroring technology for improved connection stability and balanced battery usage between each earbud.
Additional features include active noise cancellation, ambient sound mode, a low-latency game mode and IPX4 water resistance, making the earbuds suitable for commuting, workouts, gaming and everyday use alike.
Fans can also pick up matching accessories, including a wireless charging pad featuring all five pilots together and five individual earbud pouches inspired by Heero, Duo, Trowa, Quatre and Wufei, allowing collectors to complete the collaboration with coordinating extras.
The wireless charging pad is priced at ¥4,400 (approx. $30 USD / £22 GBP), while each character-themed earbud pouch costs ¥1,500 (approx. $10 USD / £8 GBP).
The Gundam Wing CP-TWS01F wireless earbuds are priced at ¥24,000 (approx. $163 USD / £121 GBP) and will be available to order from ONKYO DIRECT and the ONKYO DIRECT ANIME STORE -Lifestyle- in Akihabara.
Orders open at 3:00 PM JST on August 7 and remain available until October 2, with shipments scheduled for late November to early December 2026, although orders may close early if the planned production allocation sells out.
