New Neon Genesis Evangelion Artbook Features the Best of Yoshiyuki Sadamoto’s Work

Publisher KADOKAWA has revealed a massive new illustration collection celebrating the work of a famous artist behind one of the most influential anime franchises in history, Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Yoshiyuki Sadamoto served as the primary character designer and animation director for the original broadcast and its subsequent theatrical films.

He is also the creator of the official manga adaptation that ran alongside the animated project for several years.
His iconic character designs for protagonists like Shinji Ikari, Rei Ayanami, and Asuka Langley Soryu remain incredibly popular with fans worldwide.

The brand-new “Yoshiyuki Sadamoto Artbook EVANGELION [Limited Edition]” serves as a comprehensive compilation of artwork from the legendary artist.
Neon Genesis Evangelion originally debuted as a television series in 1995 and quickly became a global cultural phenomenon.

The science fiction story follows teenagers piloting massive biomechanical machines to protect humanity from mysterious alien beings known as Angels.
This massive new artbook features approximately 180 pages of incredible illustrations printed in a large B4 variant size.

Buyers will receive the limited edition book securely housed inside a gorgeous premium display box.
The special package also includes an impressive set of fifteen high-quality replica original drawings measuring approximately 310mm by 246mm.
A special mini shikishi board featuring a newly drawn illustration by the renowned artist is also bundled with every purchase.

The premium artbook package is priced at 17,600 yen (approx. $116.00 USD / £91.50 GBP) including tax.
Pre-orders are now open until Tuesday, July 7, 2026, and it is scheduled for release on Tuesday, November 10, 2026.
