This latest expansion places the spotlight firmly on the Mythical creature Darkrai, a shadow-dwelling monster famous for inducing terrifying nightmares.

The cover star of this booster pack is the formidable Mega Darkrai ex.

Operating as a Basic Mega Evolution ex card, this powerhouse boasts a massive 280 HP pool.

Its signature attack, also named “Abyss Eye,” possesses a devastating effect: it instantly knocks out the defending Active Pokémon if they are currently suffering from any Special Condition.

Special Conditions in the tabletop game include status effects like Asleep, Burned, Paralyzed, Poisoned, and Confused, requiring careful tactical planning to apply and exploit.

To support this aggressive knockout playstyle, a brand-new Item card called “Dark Bell” was showcased in the initial promotional video:

When played, this tool leaves both Active Pokémon Confused, though Dark-type monsters are entirely immune to this negative status effect.

Competitors will need to master the synergy between inducing Confusion and striking with Mega Darkrai ex to secure a swift victory.
