New Bose x Dandadan collab mixes premium audio with occult chaos

The premium audio company Bose has announced a collaboration with the popular anime series Dandadan, releasing three of its flagship products in special, limited-edition packaging.
Dandadan is a manga and anime series that has gained a significant following for its unique blend of science-fiction, supernatural horror, and romantic comedy.

The second season of the anime adaptation recently began, and this collaboration is timed to coincide with its new run.
The partnership involves special packaging sleeves for three of Bose’s personal audio devices, with each product featuring different characters from the series.
The fully wireless “QuietComfort Earbuds” will have packaging that showcases the characters Momo Ayase and the spirit Turbo Granny.

The over-ear “QuietComfort Headphones” will feature designs of the characters Okarun and Aira.

The open-ear style “Ultra Open Earbuds” will feature artwork of the character Jiji.

The collaboration utilizes two new colors that Bose is launching for its products, “Twilight Blue” and “Petal Pink,” which will be used for the QuietComfort Earbuds and Headphones packages.
The Ultra Open Earbuds collaboration package will feature the “Deep Plum” and “Luna Blue” colorway.

The products inside the special packaging are the same as the standard retail versions.
A marketing manager for Bose, who is also a fan of the series, explained that the collaboration was a good fit due to the vibrant color palettes in the anime matching Bose’s recent expansion into more colorful products.
The manager also cited the rich and expressive sound design of the Dandadan anime as a key reason for the partnership, hoping that fans will enjoy the show’s audio experience on Bose products.

In parallel with this collaboration, Bose also announced the official launch of its new color collections.
The “Twilight Blue” and “Petal Pink” colors will be available for the QuietComfort Earbuds, QuietComfort Headphones, and Bose’s “SoundLink Flex” portable speaker.
A third new color, “Citrus Yellow”, will be available for the SoundLink Flex.

The company stated that this expansion of color options is part of a strategy to appeal to new customers, such as women and younger demographics, beyond its traditional core audience.
According to Bose, non-black and white models now account for 25 percent of its total sales.
The new colors were reportedly decided upon by analyzing global color trend data from the consulting firm WGSN.
The Dandadan collaboration packages and the new color models are now available to purchase at participating electronics retailers across Japan, including Bic Camera and Yodobashi Camera, and on Amazon Japan.
