Needy Girl Overdose Anime’s Ame-chan Stars in New Trailer and Visual Ahead of Premiere

The psychological thriller video game Needy Girl Overdose is expanding into the world of animation with a series premiere scheduled for April 4, 2026.
A new trailer titled SECRETPV and a fresh character visual have been released to highlight the duality of the main character, Ame-chan, and her online persona, OMGkawaiiAngel.

The anime adaptation is being produced at studio Yostar Pictures under the direction of Masaoki Nakashima, who previously served as an episode director for the new Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt.
Nyalra, the writer of the original game, has penned the story for the series, while Ohisashiburi is credited with the original character designs.

The production features character designs by Kenji Saikai, Akari Takei, and Kaito Shimizu, along with a musical score composed by Aiobahn +81, Sasuke Haraguchi, and DE DE MOUSE.
This latest trailer follows the reveal of the opening theme and an anime exclusive new character on February 10, 2026.

Crunchyroll has secured the streaming rights for the series and will begin broadcasting it on April 4, 2026, to coincide with the Japanese television debut on TOKYO MX.
The anime follows the story of OMGkawaiiAngel as she seeks internet fame, exploring the darker reality that exists behind her cheerful streamer image.

Needy Girl Overdose originally debuted for Windows and MacOS in January 2022, followed by a Nintendo Switch release in October 2022 and subsequent PlayStation 4 and 5 versions in January 2025.
Additional staff for the project includes art director Ryuta Hayashi, color designer Naoto Kondo, and sound director Fumiyuki Go.
