Muv-Luv Unlimited: The Day After Arrives on Switch April 16

The developer aNCHOR has announced that the standalone versions of the four episodes comprising Muv-Luv Unlimited: The Day After will be released for the Nintendo Switch on April 16, 2026.
Fans will be able to purchase each episode individually through the Nintendo eShop or acquire them together as a complete bundled collection.
This release marks a transition for the series on the console, as the titles were previously only available as bonus content within the Muv-Luv 20th Odyssey Box physical set.
The series serves as a direct sequel to the original Muv-Luv Unlimited and explores a timeline where humanity struggles to survive on a devastated Earth following the events of Alternative V.
In Episode 00, a group of survivors stranded on a Tactical Surface Fighter carrier in the South Pacific attempts to return to the United States.
The narrative continues in Episode 01 as Japanese refugees in Seattle attempt to rebuild their society while defending against the alien threat known as the BETA.
Episode 02 introduces a new Shogun to the Seattle settlement and focuses on a potential solution to a global food crisis amid rising internal tensions.
The final chapter, Episode 03, heightens the drama as humanity faces the threat of nuclear conflict involving France while the BETA continue their relentless assault.
While the Switch versions are the latest ports, the entire four-part saga has been available for PC players via Steam for several years.
The upcoming April 16, 2026, digital launch is intended to make the visual novel series more accessible to a wider audience of handheld gamers.
