MIKIOSAKABE Announces Striking New Evangelion Footwear and Bag Collab Collection

Fashion label MIKIOSAKABE has unveiled a brand-new collaboration with Evangelion, bringing together the iconic anime franchise and the designer’s distinctive futuristic aesthetic in a collection of footwear and accessories.
Created by designer Mikio Sakabe, the collaboration draws inspiration from the world of Evangelion, a series that has influenced his creative vision for many years.

The collection features seven original designs spanning shoes and bags, each reinterpreting recognizable visual elements from the legendary anime through MIKIOSAKABE’s signature design language.

Rather than directly reproducing imagery from the series, every item incorporates symbolic colors, distinctive details and visual motifs associated with Evangelion while transforming them into contemporary fashion pieces.

Each design takes a different creative approach, showcasing multiple interpretations of the franchise’s memorable aesthetic across the collection.

The result is a lineup that blends experimental fashion with the unmistakable visual identity of Evangelion, creating statement pieces aimed at both long-time fans of the series and followers of MIKIOSAKABE’s avant-garde style.

Though the full lineup for the collection has been revealed, pricing details are yet to be confirmed and will only be revealed shortly before sales commence.

Orders for the MIKIOSAKABE × EVANGELION collection will be accepted through the official MIKIOSAKABE & JennyFax online store from July 8, 2026 at 12:00 PM until July 31, 2026 at 12:00 PM.

In addition to online ordering, fans will also have the opportunity to experience the collection in person during the special MIKIOSAKABE × EVANGELION Tokyo Showroom event.

The showroom will take place on July 18, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a second session on July 19, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, giving visitors the chance to view the collaboration before placing their orders.
