Hoshimachi Suisei and Houshou Marine star in Hololive x BE@RBRICK collab
A new collaboration between VTuber collective Hololive and the iconic figure line BE@RBRICK, made by Medicom Toy, has been announced.
BE@RBRICK was created in 2001 to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the birth of the teddy bear – with the concept of “making a digitally-inspired teddy bear.”.
Typically a 7cm bear-shaped block figure, the figure series has gained global acclaim as it has branched out into oversized versions that have become highly sought after collectibles.
Each BE@RBRICK has nine separate main body parts, with unique designs printed on to each part separately.
BE@RBRICK has collaborated with many artists, brands, companies, and characters who are inspired by its adorable form and share its “endless possibilities of expression.”
One recent collaboration has seen the iconic toy team up with Tokyo Station to celebrate its 110th anniversary.
To date, BE@RBRICK has released thousands of different items onto the market and has become known globally as one of the most recognisable “art toys”, boasting many famous collectors.
The new Hololive x BE@RBRICK figures see the iconic art toy brand team up with Hoshimachi Suisei and Houshou Marine, two of VTuber group Hololive’s most recognisable and popular members.
The figures will come in a set featuring two sizes – 100% and 400%.
The 100% Hololive x BE@RBRICK figures will be sized at the original standard size for BE@RBRICK products of 7cm, whilst the 400% figures will stand at a mighty 28cm tall.
The designs for both products have been unveiled, with each figure featuring a reproduced signature and message from either Hoshimachi Suisei or Houshou Marine:
hololive × BE@RBRICK Suisei Hoshimachi 100% & 400%
Price: 19,800 yen (approx. $132.20 USD/£101.30 GBP).
hololive × BE@RBRICK Houshou Marine 100% & 400%
Set to go on sale at 7pm JST on the 24th of October 2024, the Hololive x BE@RBRICK figures will be available via the Hololive official shop.
