Kura Sushi Announces New Mofusand Collab Menu

Kura Sushi has officially announced an upcoming collaboration with the popular character brand “mofusand,” featuring exclusive menu items and original merchandise.
The campaign brings the “cute and slightly surreal” cats created by illustrator Juno to the conveyor belt sushi chain for the first time, celebrating the brand’s recent expansion into anime streaming.

“mofusand” has gained significant popularity through its line of “Shark Cat” illustrations, which depict felines wearing shark costumes, and this new collaboration integrates these characters into the dining experience through a special menu of five different items.

The lineup includes the “Nyanko Cup Sushi,” which is designed to visualize a cat wrapped in a sushi roll, and the “Pote-nyage Combo,” which features cat-shaped chicken nuggets paired with fries.

For dessert, customers can order the “Kuro-nyan Choco Cake,” inspired by the black cat character from the series.

The collaboration extends to the trademark “Bikkura Pon!” game, where customers can win prizes by inserting five empty plates into the disposal slot at their table.

The game will feature three exclusive animation clips and offers prizes including rubber charms of cats dressed as sushi toppings like “Aged Tuna” and “Salmon.”

Other prizes include acrylic stickers and can badges featuring original illustrations of the cats posing with Kura Sushi products.

A separate giveaway campaign will also be held, rewarding customers with exclusive gifts for every 2,500 JPY spent at the restaurant.

The pricing for the exclusive menu items will be as follows:
- Nyanko Cup Sushi
- 400 JPY (approx. $2.70 USD / £2.15 GBP)

- Pote-nyage Combo
- 530 JPY (approx. $3.60 USD / £2.85 GBP)

- Kuro-nyan Choco Cake
- 480 JPY (approx. $3.25 USD / £2.60 GBP)

The collaboration campaign is set to begin in Japan on Friday, February 6, 2026.
It will be available via Kura Sushi locations across Japan, with the menu available until March 5, 2026, and the “Bikkura Pon!” game and giveaway campaigns running until stock runs out.
