HORI Reveals New Cinnamoroll Switch 2 Controller and Matching Plush Accessory Kit
Sanrio’s Cinnamoroll is getting a new set of officially licensed Nintendo Switch 2 accessories from HORI, pairing a full-size wireless controller with a matching decoration kit for the console.
The new “Cinnamoroll Wireless HORIPAD TURBO” uses a translucent pale blue body decorated with Cinnamoroll, balloons, stars and clouds, while his friend Milk is hidden beneath one of the analog sticks and appears as the stick is moved during gameplay.
It expands on HORI’s earlier Cinnamoroll range for Nintendo Switch 2, which introduced a smaller wired HORIPAD TURBO Mini alongside a Puffy Hybrid Pouch designed to carry the console and up to 10 game cards.
The new controller moves to a larger wireless format while also introducing TMR analog sticks, which use contactless magnetic sensors designed to offer greater precision and durability while reducing the risk of wear-related input problems.
HORI has also equipped it with gyro and acceleration sensors, along with a dedicated C Button for accessing GameChat on Nintendo Switch 2 and programmable controls that can be reassigned around different games.
Turbo and Turbo Hold functions support repeated inputs at approximately 5, 10 or 20 presses per second, while individual button functions can be duplicated, swapped or disabled.
Two-button combinations can also be assigned to a single input, allowing commands such as two simultaneous button presses to be activated from one control.
Up to two customized control profiles can be stored directly on the controller, making it possible to switch between different layouts without having to reconfigure them each time.
A separate button-lock function can disable selected central controls to help prevent accidental presses of buttons including HOME, Capture, HORI, + and – during gameplay.
The controller weighs approximately 235g and uses slightly narrower grips that curve inward, with the shape intended to remain comfortable across a broader range of hand sizes.
Bluetooth 5.0 handles the wireless connection, with approximately 10 hours of continuous play available from a full charge and around three hours required to recharge the battery.
It can be used with Nintendo Switch 2 as well as the original Nintendo Switch, Switch Lite and OLED model, although vibration, amiibo scanning, headset connectivity and waking a console from sleep are not supported.
Cinnamoroll is also getting a new “Decoration Kit with Plush Toy” for Nintendo Switch 2, combining character artwork with screen protection and a small plush accessory.
The included decoration sheets add Cinnamoroll artwork to the rear of the console and both Joy-Con 2 controllers, using balloons, stars, clouds and other pastel details to coordinate with the controller’s design.
A Cinnamoroll plush measuring approximately 13cm wide is also included, with his long ears giving this version a noticeably wider shape than the equivalent accessories in the other Sanrio sets.
The plush doubles as a screen cleaner and can be attached to a pouch or bag when it is not being used with the console.
A glossy screen protector completes the kit, using an anti-smudge coating to reduce fingerprints alongside HORI’s “Pita Paste” application system, which is designed to make positioning and applying the film easier.
Kuromi and Pompompurin are also receiving their own versions of the Wireless HORIPAD TURBO and Decoration Kit, with each range featuring character-specific artwork and its own matching plush accessory.
The “Cinnamoroll Wireless HORIPAD TURBO” is scheduled for release in Japan in October 2026 for ¥8,980 (approximately $58 USD / £43 GBP), with pre-orders available through retailers including Amazon Japan and HORI’s own store.
The “Cinnamoroll Decoration Kit with Plush Toy” will follow in November 2026 for ¥2,990 (approximately $19 USD / £14 GBP), with reservations also available through HORI and Japanese electronic goods retailers.
