Hatsune Miku is the star of a new immersive horror attraction

A new, interactive horror event has been announced, based on a brand-new song by the Vocaloid music producer, STEAKA.
The event is a collaboration between the creator and the Japanese horror production company, Obaken, known for its immersive, mission-based haunted attractions.
The experience is themed around a new song titled “WATCHING YOU” which features illustrations by the artist MON.
This “mission-clear type horror attraction” takes place in an entire old Japanese house, or “kominka.”
Participants are not passive observers; they must freely explore the house, solve puzzles, and interact with live actors portraying the Vocaloid characters to progress the story.

The story begins as you receive a sudden message from your friend “Zero,” played by Hatsune Miku.
In a message sent to both you and your other friend “Ao,” played by KAITO, she claims to have been confined in a supposedly haunted vacant house
Other characters, “L” and “R,” played by Kagamine Len and Kagamine Rin respectively, are also involved in the story.

The event is unique in that it offers three different storylines based on the same song.
The “Black,” “Black & White,” and “White” performances all share the same introduction, but the subsequent puzzles, character interactions, and the identity of the “killer” will be different in each version.
This structure is designed to allow attendees to experience different interpretations of the song’s narrative.
For those who are not fond of intense horror, a limited number of “less-scary” performances will be held.
Attendees will receive an exclusive novelty gift for participating, and a line of original collaboration merchandise is also planned.

In addition to the main attraction, a collaboration cafe will be running for the same period.
The event will take place at Obaken’s own “Juju – Cursed Items Cafe,” located a short walk from Honancho Station in Suginami, Tokyo.
The cafe will offer a menu of food and drinks inspired by the song’s world and its characters.
Attendees who pre-book a table will receive a special placemat-style sheet as a gift.

For every collaboration menu item ordered, customers will receive one of four possible exclusive coasters at random.
The cafe will also sell the full lineup of merchandise from the event, and will feature life-sized character panels on its second floor as a photo spot.
The “Ochirare” horror attraction and the collaboration cafe are both scheduled to run from Friday, the 5th of September, 2025, to Sunday, the 28th of September, 2025.
The main horror attraction is designed for a maximum of six people per session and lasts approximately 80 minutes.
Advance tickets, priced at ¥6,500, are scheduled to go on sale from Wednesday, the 30th of July, 2025, at 6:00 PM Japan Standard Time.
The full merchandise lineup will be revealed closer to the event’s start date.
