Hanasaku Iroha Anime Reveals 15th Anniversary Artwork

The AnimeJapan 2026 event provided a significant update for fans of the Hanasaku Iroha franchise with the reveal of a new anniversary visual at the Infinite booth.
This large scale piece of artwork was created to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the series, which originally began its broadcast in April 2011.

The new illustration features the main cast members gathered together among blooming cherry blossoms, and it has now been released digitally for the global audience to view.

Produced by the animation studio PA Works, the original television series was a cornerstone of their catalog and was supported by manga adaptations in Gangan Joker and Web Comic Gekkin.

The franchise continued to grow with the theatrical release of Hanasaku Iroha: The Movie: Home Sweet Home, which premiered in 2013.
The story follows 16 year old Ohana Matsumae as she leaves her life in Tokyo to work at her grandmother’s traditional onsen ryokan, Kissuiso, located in the Japanese countryside.

While the 15th anniversary celebrations continue, fans can currently stream the 2013 film on Crunchyroll to revisit the characters and setting of the series.
