Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans is getting its own official fragrance line
Japanese character fragrance specialty brand “primaniacs” has announced a new collection of scents based on the world of the popular anime series Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans.
Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans is a gritty and dramatic entry in the Gundam franchise which has maintained popularity with fans since its release back in 2015.
Primaniacs is a brand that aims to express a character’s “presence” through fragrance, creating scents designed to evoke the feeling that the character is right there with you.
This new collection translates the personalities and beliefs of six of the key members of the Tekkadan mercenary group into complex perfumes.
Each fragrance comes with a character card that explains the scent’s profile.
The lineup of six different Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans themed fragrances will be:
- Mikazuki Augus
A “Sharp Herbal Note” designed to represent the unflinching ace pilot, with a hard herbal green top note that gives way to a heavy marine floral, before settling into a gentle moss base.
- Orga Itsuka
A “Soft Fougère Note” for the ambitious leader of Tekkadan, starting with a strong leather top note, softening to a mellow lavender middle, and finishing with a deep vetiver.
- Eugene Sevenstark
A “Citrus Woody Note” representing the talented second-in-command, opening with a bitter citrus that matures into a clean lavender and finishes with a straightforward camphor tree scent.
- Akihiro Altland
A “Spicy Woody Note” for the fierce heavy-weapons specialist, with a sharp pink pepper top note, a gentle jasmine middle, and a heavy sandalwood base.
- Norba Shino
An “Orange Woody Note” for the cheerful and reliable pilot, starting with a bright orange sweetness, moving to a floral middle of neroli and rose, and finishing with the warmth of sandalwood.
- Yamagi Gilmerton
A “Watery Floral Note” for the quiet and diligent mechanic, featuring a watery top note with a hint of raspberry, a cashmere note middle, and a clean white cedar finish.
Each of the 30ml fragrances in the collection is priced at ¥7,920 (approx. $54 USD/£40 GBP).
The new collection will have an advance sale at a special pop-up “Gundam Series Fragrance Shop” located at DiverCity Tokyo Plaza.
The pop-up and the start of online pre-orders will both begin on Thursday, the 18th of September, 2025.
A general in-store release at the primaniacs Ginza flagship store and other retailers is scheduled for Friday, the 14th of November, 2025.
