Gundam Extreme Vs. 2 Infinite Boost launches in arcades with over 230 mobile suits

Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs. 2 Infinite Boost has officially launched in game centers across Japan.
This new game is the latest installment in the long-running “Extreme Vs.” series, a line of 2-on-2 team battle action games that is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year.

The series has been a dominant force in the Japanese arcade scene for over a decade, known for its fast-paced combat and its massive roster of mobile suits drawn from the entire history of the Gundam franchise.

This new version, Infinite Boost, continues that tradition with one of the largest rosters to date.
The game has launched with over 239 playable mobile suits from 48 different Gundam works, including performance renewals for over 200 units from the previous title.

A new gameplay mechanic has also been introduced, called the “EX Over-Limit.”
This system is designed to make the final moments of a battle more exciting by providing a temporary boost in attack and mobility, health recovery when dealing damage, and a special defensive barrier.

To make the game more accessible to new players, a simplified control scheme called the “Light Type” has been implemented for gamepad users.
This optional setting allows players to perform almost all of their actions with a single button press.

A new single-player mode, “VS. Route Battle,” has also been added, where players navigate through various areas to defeat a final boss.
The game’s new theme song is “X_AXIS” by the band Survive Said The Prophet, and the track is being distributed via the “Gundam VS. Mobile” companion site.

To celebrate the game’s launch, a special event titled the “Midsummer Infinite Boost Festival” is also planned.
This event is described as a “rush” of new mobile suit additions that will be added to the game’s roster in the near future.
