Genshin Impact to get new tool that allows players to create and share their own games

HoYoverse has announced that a new, large-scale “User-Generated Content,” or UGC, platform is scheduled to be implemented into its popular open-world RPG, Genshin Impact.
The announcement was made on the 13th of August on the official HoYoLAB community site.

This new UGC platform will be a powerful tool that allows players to create their own games and share them with other users.
According to the developers, the idea for this new feature was born from the popularity of the game’s existing creative systems, such as the “Serenitea Pot” housing and the “Divine Ingenuity” custom domain builder.

This new tool will offer a much higher degree of freedom than those previous systems, with a powerful editor that allows for the customization of nearly every important element of a game.
HoYoverse has stated that the majority of Genshin Impact’s own in-game resources will be gradually made available to players to use within this new creative mode.

The editor will reportedly be powerful enough for players to create a wide range of content, including management simulation games and party games, with the ability to design for either single-player or multiplayer experiences.
To support this new creative community, a special in-game “lobby” will also be implemented, which will serve as a hub for players to interact and share their creations.

The developers have noted that creating such a high-freedom platform requires a large-scale, phased development and optimization process.
To that end, they plan to invite many players to participate in future beta tests to help refine the UGC editor and its features.
The new Genshin Impact User-Generated Content platform is scheduled to be released sometime in 2025.
