Death Note’s Ryuk Prepares to Join FuRyu’s Noodle Stopper Figure Line

Japanese prize manufacturer FuRyu is preparing to release a brand new figure based on the acclaimed supernatural thriller anime series Death Note.
The highly detailed Ryuk “Noodle Stopper Figure” is the latest addition to the popular line, complementing the previously released Noodle Stopper figure of series protagonist Light Yagami.

This legendary series originally hooked audiences worldwide with the gripping psychological battle between Light and the brilliant detective L.

Ryuk serves as the central catalyst for the events of the story, after purposely dropping his deadly notebook into the human world out of sheer boredom.

Originating from the desolate Shinigami Realm, he remains a neutral but deeply fascinated observer of humanity’s dark potential throughout the events that unfold.
His supernatural notebook grants its user the terrifying ability to kill anyone whose name is written within its pages, provided the writer knows the victim’s face.

Light uses this immense power in a misguided attempt to rid the world of criminals and become the god of a newly formed, peaceful society.
Standing at an impressive 13cm tall, this piece depicts the iconic Shinigami perched closely in his signature crouching pose.

He is carefully sculpted looking forward while holding his favorite food, a brightly colored red apple.
Complex detailing perfectly captures his eerie aesthetic, featuring highly textured black garments, feathery shoulder adornments, and his trademark skull-themed belt and jewelry.

His pale face is brought to life with striking yellow eyes and a wide, menacing grin that reveals a row of sharp teeth.
FuRyu cleverly designs these figures to sit perfectly flat on the lid of instant cup noodles, keeping them securely sealed while cooking.

Fans can also easily display this imposing Shinigami sitting on the flat edge of any standard shelf or computer desk when he is not assisting with daily meal preparation.
Collectors in Japan will find this release making its debut as a crane game prize in local arcades and amusement centers during the second week of May 2026.
International fans will be able to acquire this piece approximately two months after the initial Japanese arcade release through reputable international hobby goods retailers.
