Final Fantasy’s Sephiroth Stars in New Drink Commercial

Asahi has released a new commercial to promote their ongoing “Future Lemon Sour” beverage collab with Square Enix’s hit RPG “FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH”.
This newly revealed video, titled “No Way, It’s Him!” features the iconic villain Sephiroth unexpectedly taking a bite out of a lemon slice and enjoying a canned chu-hi.

“FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH” is the second entry in a massive remake project, following the adventures of Cloud Strife and his companions as they explore a vast and dangerous world.

The brief advertisement shows the traditionally stoic and menacing antagonist flashing a rare, satisfied expression after drinking the unique alcoholic beverage.

As part of the collaboration, a limited-time pop-up bar will open, which recreates the game’s iconic Seventh Heaven tavern in the real world under the new name of “Lemon’s Heaven.”

Seventh Heaven is a bustling neighborhood bar within the game that is operated by the character Tifa Lockhart, and it also doubles as a secret base for the eco-terrorist group AVALANCHE.
The pop-up bar aims to immerse fans by bringing the in-game atmosphere into reality, whilst serving up one of Asahi’s most innovative beverages.

Fans who visit the bar will be able to sample the “Future Lemon Sour,” a ready-to-drink canned chu-hi that features a wide full-open lid.
The unique beverage contains a real slice of lemon that naturally floats to the surface upon opening.

Asahi will be offering the standard Original and Plain flavors to attendees throughout the event, alongside a brand new “Koime” strong variant featuring a 7 percent alcohol content.
The limited-time event will take place at the O-Yane Plaza in Roppongi Hills, Tokyo, and will accommodate approximately 60 seated guests at a time.

Visitors can purchase a 345ml can of their preferred lemon sour flavor for a flat rate of 300 yen (approx. $2 USD / £1.50 GBP).
Attendees will also be treated to an interactive experience where the character Barret teaches them how to best enjoy the drink.

Additionally, the first 1,000 guests to visit the pop-up location will receive exclusive limited collaboration goods.
The special pop-up tavern will officially operate from Wednesday, April 29, to Sunday, May 3, 2026, and attendees must be aged 20 or over to enter.

Opening times for the bar are carefully scheduled throughout the golden week holiday period.
On Wednesday, April 29, the bar will be open from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
For Thursday, April 30, and Friday, May 1, the opening hours are scheduled from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
Over the weekend on Saturday, May 2, and Sunday, May 3, doors will open from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
Last orders will be strictly taken at 8:30 PM on all operating days.
