Fate/stay night’s Saber added to Good Smile Company’s new Nendoroid Large figure line
Good Smile Company has revealed a new figure of Fate/stay night’s Saber as part of a recent live stream event.
“Nendoroid Large Saber” is set to be the first jumbo sized Nendoroid style figure based on the popular anime series and character.
Fate/stay night originated as a visual novel developed by Type-Moon in 2004 and has since expanded into a vast multimedia phenomenon, encompassing multiple anime series, films, manga, and video games.
It is renowned for its intricate story of mages and heroic spirits battling in a Holy Grail War.
“Saber,” formally known as Artoria Pendragon, is one of the franchise’s most recognizable and enduring characters, frequently depicted as a valiant knight with her signature sword, Excalibur.
Nendoroids are typically a line of small, articulated figures produced by Good Smile Company.
Known for their “chibi” (super deformed) aesthetic, large heads, and expressive faces, Nendoroids are highly sought after by collectors for their interchangeable parts, allowing for a wide range of poses and customization.
Good Smile Company has released numerous versions of Saber in Nendoroid form over the years, reflecting her various appearances across the Fate universe.
The new “Nendoroid Large” range sees the creation of super-sized versions of popular characters, whilst still retaining the cute aesthetics the Nendoroid line is known for.
Nendoroid Large figures will stand at 20cm tall, making them twice the size of standard Nendoroid figures which are a uniform 10cm tall.
This is a relatively new line of figures, with only a few other entries, such as a Nendoroid Large Hatsune Miku and Nendoroid Large versions of Haikyu!!’s Hinata and Kageyama announced so far.
Fans of figures and Nendoroids can expect the Nendoroid Large line to expand over the coming years.
