Evangelion Wind Symphony Returns for Two New Concerts in 2026

The iconic anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion is bringing back its dedicated brass and woodwind concert series for two new performances later this year.
Organizers have officially announced that the “Evangelion Wind Symphony” will return for its sixth run, since originally debuting in 2018.

These specialized concerts offer a different auditory experience compared to traditional full orchestra setups.
By focusing exclusively on the raw power of brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments, the arrangements deliver a uniquely punchy and energetic interpretation of the classic battle themes.

Neon Genesis Evangelion revolutionized the Japanese animation industry during its original broadcast run in the 1990s.
The story follows a group of young pilots tasked with operating massive bio-machine mechas to defend a futuristic city against bizarre, destructive entities known as Angels.

The haunting and bombastic background music has remained a core pillar of the series enduring legacy across television and theatrical film releases.
Acclaimed conductor and arranger Masamicz Amano will return to lead the upcoming symphonic performances.

The concerts will also feature special guest appearances from legendary franchise vocalist Yoko Takahashi and internationally recognized trumpet player Eric Miyashiro.
Yoko Takahashi is known amongst fans as the artist behind “A Cruel Angel’s Thesis”, the iconic opening theme song of the original television broadcast.

The tour will kick off in Tokyo on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at the Shibuya Public Hall.
This opening performance will be played by the renowned Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra.
The production will then travel to Hyogo Prefecture for a second concert scheduled for Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at the Kobe International House Kokusai Hall.
Attendees at the Hyogo venue will hear the score performed live by the Osaka Shion Wind Orchestra.

Advance ticket lotteries are currently accepting applications exclusively through the official “EVA-EXTRA” mobile application.
Fans have until 11:59 PM on Sunday, April 26, 2026, to submit their early entries.
General public ticket sales are scheduled to open at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 4, 2026, with more details available via the official Evangelion Wind Symphony website.
