EA Announces Apex Legends x Gundam Collaboration
A massive new collaboration event is officially set to launch, bringing the iconic Mobile Suit Gundam franchise to the Apex Legends battle royale.
Electronic Arts has announced an in-game takeover that transforms the Broken Moon map into a full Gundam battlefield littered with destroyed mechs and climbable statues.
Players will be able to utilize legendary weapons from the anime series, such as the Buster Rifle, which can be acquired from Care Packages to fire cover-piercing laser beams.
Bit Staves can be deployed as defensive shields or switched to Drone Command to patrol, scan, and attack enemy squads.
The update introduces new Wild Card abilities, including Epyon’s Lash for a magnetic melee pull and Heavyarms Salvo to mark enemies for missile strikes.
Players can also trigger Zero Sacrifice for a self-destruct explosion upon being knocked down, or Zero Rebirth to gain temporary invulnerability and health regeneration.
The collaboration features eight unique Gundam-inspired skins tailored to the personality and lore of specific Legends.

The event also introduces weapon skins like the Buster Rifle Kraber, and two new Mythic melee items: the Epyon Heat Rod and the Beam Saber.
Players can earn medals during the event to unlock a Char Aznable-inspired Sparrow skin from the Reward Shop.
To celebrate the crossover outside of the game, three limited-edition Real Grade Gunpla kits are set to be released for collectors.
Produced by Bandai Namco, the model kit lineup features customized Gunpla based on the event’s specific Legend designs:

Pre-orders for the APEX LEGENDS x Gundam Gunpla kits will begin online through the Premium Bandai store and the official Apex Legends Shop on Wednesday, March 18, 2026.
The in-game event is scheduled to go live across all platforms including the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.
The in-game event store is scheduled to close on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
