Dine in Kamurocho style with new Like a Dragon tableware collection
SuperGroupies has announced a new line of products based on the world of the Like a Dragon video game series.
SuperGroupies is a brand known for creating merchandise for anime and video game fans that is designed to be subtly integrated into everyday life, focusing on practical items with sophisticated, lore-based designs.
They recently expanded another of their gaming apparel and merchandise collections, based on NieR: Automata, with the addition of several new items.
This new Like a Dragon collection features a range of tableware and accessories inspired by the iconic businesses and characters from the popular action-RPG franchise by Sega.
The product lineup translates the in-game world into four different sets of usable goods:
- Yuten Hanten Motif Octagonal Plate & Placemat Set
- Price: 4,510 yen (approx. $30.53 USD / £22.72 GBP)
This set is inspired by the Chinese restaurant in Isezaki Ijincho.
The design draws inspiration from Zhao Tianyou’s Heat Action, and the included placemat features the pattern from Zhao’s shirt.
- Kyushu No. 1 Star Motif Ramen Bowl & Spoon Set
- Price: 4,510 yen (approx. $30.53 USD / £22.72 GBP)
This set recreates the crockery used at Kyushu No. 1 Star, a long-standing ramen shop in the series’ famous Kamurocho district, which has been a frequent stop for characters like Kazuma Kiryu.
- Bar (Survive / Revolve) Motif Glass & Paper Coaster Set
- Price: 4,180 yen (approx. $28.29 USD / £21.06 GBP)
This set of glassware pays tribute to two of the main hangout spots in the series: Survive Bar, the establishment frequented by Kasuga Ichiban and his party, and Revolve Bar, a key location in the series’ Hawaiian setting.
- Ono Michio Model Rubber Coaster Set
- Price: 1,540 yen (approx. $10.42 USD / £7.75 GBP)
This set of coasters features the quirky local mascot character from Onomichi, Ono Michio.
The set includes two separate coasters, one of his face and another of his sweatshirt.
Pre-orders for the collection are now open via the SuperGroupies website, with the reservation window scheduled to close at 12:00 PM Japan Standard Time on July 28th.
The finished products are expected to be shipped to customers in mid-September 2025.
