Deluxe “Special Coating” Master Grade Providence Gundam gets a re-release

A new wave of pre-orders has opened for a deluxe, “Special Coating” version of the “Master Grade 1/100 Providence Gundam” Gunpla model kit.
The Providence Gundam is the final, formidable mobile suit piloted by the primary antagonist, Rau Le Creuset, in the classic anime series, Mobile Suit Gundam SEED.

This “Master Grade” (MG) 1/100 scale model kit is a special, deluxe version of the fan-favorite design.

Various parts of the kit’s armor have been treated with a variety of premium coatings, including metallic plating and an “extra finish,” to give the final model a luxurious and high-end appearance.

The set also includes a comprehensive collection of effect parts to recreate the deployment of the mobile suit’s signature “DRAGOON” remote weapon system.

Eleven separate arm and launch-effect parts, which are molded in a sparkly plastic, are included to display all of the DRAGOON pods in an all-range attack formation.

A set of clear green beam effect parts is also included, with enough pieces to be attached to every DRAGOON pod.

Other exclusive items in this deluxe set include a special, clear-colored display base shaped like the Z.A.F.T. military emblem, and a “special version” sheet of water-slide decals that features extensive use of foil stamping for a premium look.

The “MG 1/100 Providence Gundam [Special Coating]” is priced at ¥14,080 (approx. $96 USD/£71 GBP) and it is scheduled to be shipped to customers in November 2025.

As a Premium Bandai exclusive, this kit is not available through general retail channels, making this re-release a new opportunity for collectors.

Pre-orders for the restock for the sought-after model began on Thursday, the 28th of August, on the Premium Bandai online store.
