Bandai Announces 3 New Gundam 30th Anniversary Soundtrack Collections
Bandai Namco has announced the release of three limited edition soundtrack collections for Gundam Wing, G Gundam, and After War Gundam X.
These three foundational shows each aired in the mid-1990s, introducing global audiences to the “Alternative Series” era of Gundam and successfully steering the property away from its traditional “Universal Century” timeline.
Gundam Wing, which celebrated its 30th anniversary during the year commencing April 7, 2025, became a massive television phenomenon in the United States, cementing the franchise’s popularity with Western audiences.
After War Gundam X is celebrating its 30th anniversary today, April 5, 2026, and Bandai has also announced the start of a huge new project commemorating the milestone.
G Gundam’s 30th anniversary officially took place 2 years ago, with the original anime having aired in 1994, but with each series airing over consecutive years, the celebrations are close enough to warrant Bandai launching joint commemorative projects.
Each 30th anniversary soundtrack collection will feature a massive volume of background music and iconic vocal theme songs that defined the era.
The initial first-press limited editions will be housed in large, LP-sized jacket packaging for a premium physical display experience.
Fans will easily recognize the brand-new cover artwork illustrated by renowned mecha artist Hidetaka Tenjin.
These striking new visuals prominently feature the protagonist mobile suits from each respective television series:

Launching on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, this expansive seven-disc set features the dramatic music of Kow Otani alongside the iconic electronic pop anthems of TWO-MIX.

Arriving on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, this three-disc set highlights the memorable compositions by Yasuo Higuchi and high-energy vocal tracks by ROMANTIC MODE.
Dedicated collectors who purchase all three collections will be eligible for a special linked bonus reward.
