Skautfold: Moonless Knight Launches April 9 on ConsolesaAnd Switch

Publisher Red Art Games and developer Pugware announced that the Metroidvania action RPG Skautfold: Moonless Knight will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on April 9, 2026.

The console versions of the title will be priced at $14.99 upon their release.

While the game is currently available on PC, where it first entered Early Access on December 28, 2019, and saw a full release on March 4, 2020, this update marks its debut on home consoles.

The story serves as a sequel to previous entries Shrouded in Sanity, Usurper, and Into the Fray, though the developers noted that newcomers can enjoy the experience without prior knowledge of the series.

Players take on the role of Gray, the 2nd Knight, who is sent on a diplomatic mission to the Dawn Empire of Japan that quickly descends into chaos due to a religious coup by Lunatic cultists.

The gameplay features a semi-open world design focused on exploring the Oda Imperial Palace and interacting with various factions to ensure the survival of the Empire.

Combat in the game utilizes an overhauled Guard System that rewards players for perfect blocks and well-timed dodges while penalizing careless actions with reduced maximum health.

Exploration is encouraged through a non-linear boss progression system and the discovery of hidden secrets such as Yth stones and ninja pugs.

To aid in survival against Eldritch horrors, players can utilize Vitae Injections to recover health or grant temporary damage buffs.
