Daemons Of The Shadow Realm Casts Ayumu Murase

The Daemons of the Shadow Realm television anime series is scheduled to begin broadcasting in Japan on April 4, 2026.

Voice actor Ayumu Murase, recognized for his role as Shoyo Hinata in Haikyu, has joined the cast to voice the character Gabriel, along with several other Daemons.

Additional cast members announced for the series include Rikiya Koyama as Right, Takako Honda as Left, Miyuri Shimabukuro as Hana, and Junichi Suwabe as Jin.

Masahiro Ando, who previously directed Sword of the Stranger, is leading the project at Bones, while Noboru Takagi serves as the series composer.

The character designs and chief animation direction are being managed by Nobuhiro Arai, and the musical score is composed by Kenichiro Suehiro.

The opening theme song for the series is titled Tobu Toki, and the ending theme is titled Tobo yo, both of which are performed by the artist Vaundy.

The anime serves as an adaptation of the manga series by Hiromu Arakawa, which first began serialization in Square Enix’s Monthly Shonen Gangan in December 2021.

As of early 2026, there are 12 compiled volumes of the manga released in Japan, with Square Enix also handling the English language distribution.

The story follows twins Yuru and Asa, who are known as the children who sunder day and night in a world where humans command supernatural entities called Daemons.

After being separated at a young age, the siblings must reunite to claim their birthright and prevent the destruction of their world.
