Cosmic Princess Kaguya New Trailer Celebrates Anime Film Success

The anime film Cosmic Princess Kaguya! has achieved a significant financial milestone by surpassing 1 billion yen at the Japanese box office.
Following its initial debut on streaming platforms, the movie transitioned to a limited theatrical run where it continues to attract a growing audience.

The theatrical release expanded to more than 100 cinemas across Japan starting on March 13, 2026.
To celebrate this commercial success and express gratitude to the fanbase, a new super hit trailer was released on March 18, 2026.
Produced by Studio Colorido and Studio Chromato, the project is directed by Shingo Yamashita, who also co-wrote the screenplay alongside Saeri Natsuo.
The creative team includes character designers Hechima and Nagae Akihiro, with a musical score composed by Conisch.

The film follows Iroha Sakayori, a 17 year old high school student who finds solace from her busy life in Tokyo by visiting a virtual realm known as Tsukuyomi.
The plot centers on Iroha discovering a mysterious baby who rapidly matures into a young woman and begins a career as a virtual streamer.

As Iroha takes on the role of producer and songwriter for the girl, now known as Kaguya, the two must eventually face ominous forces attempting to reclaim the princess for the moon.
