Classic Vampire Anime Hellsing Is Getting Its Own Premium Whisky

Specialist retailer WHISKY MEW has officially announced an upcoming collaboration featuring a legendary dark fantasy manga series.
The “Hellsing Label / Glen Moray 2008” is set to join the brand’s premium lineup of curated scotch whiskies.

Hellsing is a highly acclaimed action manga created by Kouta Hirano that follows a secret organization dedicated to destroying supernatural threats.
The story centers on the Hellsing Organization in late 20th century England, commanded by the steadfast Sir Integra Hellsing.

To protect the Queen and the country, the organization utilizes Alucard, a powerful and immortal vampire who serves as their ultimate weapon against other monstrous beings.
Renowned whisky critic Hideo Yamaoka personally selected a 2008 Glen Moray single malt for this special release.

The scotch boasts a transparent, fruity aroma with the gentle sweetness of peaches, Japanese citrus, and Japanese pear.
A light mouthfeel is accompanied by the rich flavor of malt, nuances of honey, and a perfectly balanced barrel presence.

The spirit has been aged for 16 years in Scotland and features an alcohol by volume of 47.9 percent.
Each bottle contains 700ml of the premium malt whisky, making it a highly completed beverage that can be enjoyed in any drinking style.

Production is strictly limited to a total of 236 bottles, with 189 bottles allocated specifically for the general public.
The “Hellsing Label / Glen Moray 2008” is priced at 23,100 yen (approx. $155 USD / £120 GBP).

Sales are being handled by a lottery system exclusively through the official WHISKY MEW website.
Applications for the lottery will be accepted from Monday, March 16, until Monday, March 23, 2026.
