Burger King Japan’s Popular Garlic Burger Gets A Jumbo Sized Upgrade

A super-large version of the “Garlic Garlic Burger”, Burger King Japan’s best-selling product of 2023, is set to hit stores on October 4th 2024.

The “Garlic Garlic The One Pounder” burger will launch as part of BK Japan’s “One Pounder Series”, which sees regular burgers super sized to create a challenging, yet tasty, experience for burger fans.

The super-sized garlic burger is made with four flame-grilled 100% beef patties, four slices of cheddar cheese, pickles for added flavor, and an increased amount of the delicious “special garlic sauce” that combines three types of garlic (garlic paste, fried garlic, and garlic powder) with chili pepper and black pepper to create a powerful flavor.

To commemorate the release, BK Japan will be offering a limited number of original stickers to customers who purchase the “Garlic One Pounder” (while supplies last):

With such a large burger posing a challenge to those daring enough to consume it, BK Japan recommend asking for the burger to be “half cut” at the register, meaning the burger will be cut in half by staff once it has been assembled. This makes the burger easier to handle and allows access to the juiciest part of the burger, which may make it easier to consume by avoiding eating too much of the drier outer part of the burger in one go.

How much does the “Garlic Garlic The One Pounder” burger cost at Burger King Japan?

Available as a set or a stand-alone burger, a set meal containing the burger, medium fries and medium drink will be priced at 2,290 yen (approx. $15.62/£11.98) whilst the burger itself will set you back 1,990 yen (approx. $13.57/£10.34).

When does the “Garlic Garlic The One Pounder” burger go on sale at Burger King Japan?

The “Garlic Garlic The One Pounder” burger goes on sale on Friday 4th October from 10:30am at Burger King stores across Japan, with sales set to continue until stock runs out.
