Baskin-Robbins Japan announces first-ever collab with Sanrio’s “Hapidanbui”

Baskin-Robbins Japan has announced its first-ever collaboration with the popular Sanrio character unit “Hapidanbui.”
To celebrate the fifth anniversary of the character group, Baskin-Robbins Japan will launch a new ice cream cake that features each of the members.

Hapidanbui is a popular Sanrio unit consisting of six of the company’s classic “boy” characters from the 80s and 90s: Pochacco, Tuxedosam, Keroppi, Badtz-Maru, Hangyodon, and Pekkle.

The new “Hapidanbui Palette 6” is a type of ice cream cake that is divided into six different slices, each with a different flavor combination.
The cake is designed with the theme of the six characters “dancing coolly,” with colorful chocolate plates featuring the individual members atop each slice, surrounded by a variety of different-sized whipped cream dollops to create a “3D” impression.

Each of the six slices is themed around a different member of the group, with a flavor that matches their image.
The full flavor lineup is as follows:
- Badtz-Maru: Dark Chocolate Bits Chocolate & Chopped Chocolate on a chocolate sponge.

- Tuxedosam: Love Potion 31 on a chocolate sponge.

- Pochacco: Jamoca Almond Fudge & Vanilla on a chocolate sponge.

- Hangyodon: Popping Shower on a white sponge.

- Pekkle: White Chocolate & Vanilla on a white sponge.

- Keroppi: Very Berry Strawberry, Pistachio, & Chocolate Chip on a white sponge.

The outer film and the base board of the cake also feature original, story-themed illustrations of the characters.

The “Hapidanbui Palette 6” ice cream cake is a limited-quantity item, priced at ¥4,000.
The new collaboration cake is scheduled to be released at Baskin-Robbins locations across Japan on Friday, the 12th of September, 2025.
