Square Exix Launches 2 New Official Final Fantasy XIV Craft Beers

Two craft beers inspired by Final Fantasy XIV will make their debut at Square Enix’s EXBAR TOKYO plus AKIHABARA game bar in Tokyo later this month.
Developed and published by Square Enix, Final Fantasy XIV is an online role-playing game set in the expansive world of Eorzea, where players create their own Warriors of Light and explore a story filled with distinctive cities, cultures and magical landmarks.

The first collaboration beer is Guiding Light, a fruit ale inspired by the Mothercrystal and created with a gentle flavor intended to be approachable even for customers who do not regularly drink craft beer.

The second beer, Healer of the Forest, is a smooth white ale based on Gridania, the woodland city-state known for its dense forests, relationship with nature and association with healers and archers.

Both beers have been designed to offer light and easy-to-drink flavors while using their colors to reflect the locations and imagery that inspired them.

The launch will be accompanied by a new Aetheryte monument at the FINAL FANTASY XIV GOODS SHOP AKIHABARA, recreating one of the game’s most recognizable structures at approximately 160 cm tall.

Aetherytes act as fast-travel points throughout Final Fantasy XIV, although the Akihabara monument will not include the teleportation features of its in-game counterpart and will instead serve as a dedicated photo spot.
An exclusive acrylic keychain will also be sold to commemorate the beers and Aetheryte installation, featuring Alpha and a Moogle raising beer mugs together in a celebratory toast.

The store will additionally install an original Final Fantasy XIV stamp that visitors can use during their trip.

Customers who spend at least ¥3,000 (approx. $20 USD / £15 GBP) on Final Fantasy XIV merchandise at the Akihabara store will receive a complimentary postcard, with distribution limited to one card per person each day.

The two Final Fantasy XIV craft beers will be available from EXBAR TOKYO plus AKIHABARA in Tokyo from July 31, while the Aetheryte monument, commemorative merchandise and related store promotions will be offered through the FINAL FANTASY XIV GOODS SHOP AKIHABARA.
