My Hero Academia’s Heroes Take a Break for Exclusive New Onigiri-Themed Merch Collection

A new My Hero Academia Character Pop-Up Store is set to launch this summer, giving fans the chance to pick up exclusive merchandise inspired by an original onigiri, or rice ball, theme.
The event will introduce newly illustrated character artwork that will feature on a fresh lineup of collectibles, while also bringing back fan-favorite designs created for previous Chara Pop Store events between 2017 and 2023 for a separate new range of merch.
My Hero Academia is based on Kohei Horikoshi’s hit manga series and follows Izuku Midoriya and his classmates at U.A. High School as they train to become professional heroes in a world where superhuman Quirks are commonplace.

The new onigiri-themed merch collection will include acrylic stands, badges, keychains and a variety of other accessories.
Among the collection will be random can badges featuring 14 different designs priced at ¥550 each (approx. $4 USD/ £3 GBP).

Random clear cards with 14 designs will also be available for ¥500 each (approx. $3 USD/ £3 GBP).

New acrylic stands will be released in six character designs and will retail for ¥1,800 each (approx. $12 USD/ £9 GBP).

Matching card cases will also be available in six designs for ¥2,000 each (approx. $14 USD/ £10 GBP).

The returning designs will feature on new 2017 card-style acrylic stands in five designs for ¥1,300 each (approx. $9 USD/ £7 GBP), along with 2018 versions available in 12 designs at the same price.

Collectors can also pick up the 2019 random can badge collection featuring eight designs for ¥550 each (approx. $4 USD/ £3 GBP), as well as the 2020 edition with 10 designs at the same price.

Foil-infused acrylic keychains based on the designs from 2021 will also be available in eight designs for ¥1,200 each (approx. $8 USD/ £6 GBP), while the 2022 and 2023 collections will each offer six designs at the same price.

Visitors can also take part in an exclusive themed mini game called ‘THE ROLLING RICE BALL!!!’, with every play guaranteeing one prize.
Each game costs ¥600 per attempt (approx. $4 USD/ £3 GBP), with participants receiving a prize from either the A, B or C reward categories depending on the result.
- Prize A consists of foil-infused acrylic boards available in six designs.

- Prize B includes acrylic keychains available in seven designs.

- Prize C features randomly distributed scene photographs and dialogue sheets with 21 different designs to collect.

The pop-up store will first open at the Bandai Namco Cross Store inside Atre Akihabara in Tokyo from August 7 to September 27, 2026, where visitors will also be able to view the event’s new artwork on display.
It will then move to the namco Umeda Store in Osaka from October 31 to November 23, 2026.
Fans in Fukuoka will be able to visit the Bandai Namco Cross Store Hakata from November 28 to December 20, 2026.
The final scheduled stop will be at Bandai Namco Cross Store Sendai inside Aeon Mall Natori in Miyagi from December 26, 2026 until January 17, 2027.
Fans who are unable to attend the stores will have a chance to pick up the exclusive merchandise through Premium Bandai after the event concludes.
