Gundam’s NEW ERA Collab Returns with New Unicorn Inspired Collection

Gundam’s official fashion brand STRICT-G has once again teamed up with NEW ERA to create caps inspired by the franchise, with this latest collection putting the focus on Gundam Unicorn.
Rather than focusing on mobile suits or pilots, the collection takes inspiration from Anaheim Electronics and the Vist Foundation, giving Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn fans a more understated way to represent the series through everyday apparel.

Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn is set three years after the events of Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack and follows Banagher Links as he becomes caught up in the mystery of Laplace’s Box, a secret with the potential to reshape the future of the Universal Century.

The series explores the political struggle between the Earth Federation, Neo Zeon remnants and powerful corporations working behind the scenes, making both Anaheim Electronics and the Vist Foundation central to the story’s wider conflict.

The collection is built around New Era’s 9FORTY A-Frame Trucker silhouette, combining the familiar curved visor and breathable mesh rear panels with a structured front panel that helps the embroidered logos stand out.
One version features the Anaheim Electronics emblem, representing the famous mobile suit manufacturer responsible for developing many of the Universal Century’s most iconic machines, including the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam and numerous Federation and Anaheim projects.

The second cap showcases the Vist Foundation logo, the influential organization that secretly controls Laplace’s Box and manipulates many of the political events that unfold throughout Gundam Unicorn.

Both designs keep the styling deliberately minimal, using raised embroidery on the front to create a clean everyday look.

Each cap is priced at ¥5,280 (approx. $36 USD / £27 GBP) and is available to pre-order through the STRICT-G Online Store on Premium Bandai Japan.
Pre-orders are now open until August 16, with shipments scheduled for September 2026 and a general retail release at STRICT-G stores across Japan beginning on September 5.
Although the collection has only been announced for Premium Bandai Japan so far, there is a good chance it will also arrive on Premium Bandai US in the near future, as the storefront already carries a wide selection of previous Gundam x New Era caps and apparel collaborations.
