Baskin-Robbins annual summer Pokémon collab returns for 2025

Baskin-Robbins Japan has announced the details of its 7th annual “Poke-Natsu! Campaign,” a popular summer collaboration with the Pokémon franchise.
The event, which this year is based on the theme of “Exciting Summer Vacation!”, will feature a wide range of new and returning menu items, as well as exclusive merchandise and promotional gifts.

It is the second Nintendo collaboration this summer, following Baskin-Robbins’ Super Mario-themed “Enjoy! SUPER ICE CREAM SUMMER” promotion.

A new, limited-edition flavor will be introduced, called “Pikachu Tropica Soda,” with a single, regular-sized scoop priced at 420 yen (approx. $2.84 USD / £2.11 GBP).

This flavor is designed to taste like a soda float, combining a soda-flavored sorbet with vanilla ice cream, and includes small Pikachu-shaped candies and a yellow “tropical ribbon” flavored with pineapple.

The campaign will also feature a special “Pokémon Double Cup,” priced at 510 yen (approx. $3.44 USD / £2.57GBP) for a small double or 760 yen (approx. $5.14 USD / £3.83 GBP) for a regular double.

The cups come in three different designs, featuring Pikachu alongside the Paldea region starters or the starter Pokémon from the upcoming game, Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A.

Each “Pokémon Double Cup” purchase also comes with one of two random “Sundae Spoons”.

Every purchase of a “Pokémon Double Cup” will also include a special Pokémon sticker, with 20 different sticker designs available.

Two different “Pokémon Sundaes” will be on the menu, themed after Pikachu and Pawmi, with each one priced at 600 yen (approx. $4.05 USD / £3.02 GBP).

A key feature of these sundaes is that each one comes with a special “Frienda Pick” that can be used with the “Pokémon Frienda” arcade game.

The returning “The Crush Soda” drink will also get a Pokémon makeover for 700 yen (approx. $4.73 USD / £3.52 GBP), with a cup featuring the Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A starters.

For take-home options, the standard “Variety Boxes” will be available in special Pokémon-themed packaging, with prices ranging from 1,360 yen (approx. $9.19 USD / £6.85 GBP) for a small four-piece box to 4,200 yen (approx. $28.39 USD / £21.16 GBP) for a regular twelve-piece box.

A “Pokémon Waku Waku Ice Cream Set” will also be sold, priced at ¥3,500 for nine small scoops or 4,140 yen (approx. $27.99 USD / £20.86 GBP) for nine regular scoops.

This special take-home set includes a box with a color-in lid, nine random “Sundae Spoons,” and one of two 2-way insulated bags.

In addition to the limited-time summer items, the company also highlighted the two Pokémon ice cream cake offerings that are available year-round.
One is the “Pokémon Palette 4,” a cake made of four different flavor quadrants, including Caramel Ribbon and Popping Shower, and is topped with chocolates of Pikachu, Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly.

The second is the “Pokémon Ice Cream Cake Pikachu,” a cake shaped like Pikachu’s face, made with Popping Shower and Strawberry ice cream flavors.

Both of these cakes are priced at 3,500 yen (approx. $23.66 USD / £17.63 GBP).
The “31 Poke-Natsu! Campaign” is scheduled to begin at Baskin-Robbins locations across Japan on Friday, the 1st of August, 2025, and will run until the 3rd of September, 2025, or while supplies last.
