Nintendo Announces New Super Mario Licca-chan Dolls

Japanese toy manufacturer Takara Tomy has officially announced a new collaborative release featuring characters from the world’s most famous video game franchise.
The “Super Mario Licca-chan Mario Style” and “Super Mario Licca-chan Princess Peach Style” dolls are set to join the manufacturer’s long-running fashion doll series.

Super Mario is a globally recognized platforming franchise created by Nintendo that follows a heroic plumber on his adventures to rescue the ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom.

Licca-chan was first introduced in 1967 and has remained a beloved staple of Japanese pop culture, offering fans endless dress-up possibilities.

This new collaboration blends the timeless appeal of the dress-up doll with the colorful aesthetic of the hit video games.
Let’s take a look at the two Super Mario x Licca-chan dolls in more detail!
- Super Mario Licca-chan Mario Style

This release features the fashion doll wearing Mario’s trademark red cap and blue denim overalls.

The doll includes charming accessories such as a Super Star bag and a whimsical photo prop of the plumber’s famous mustache.

- Super Mario Licca-chan Princess Peach Style

This doll captures the elegant ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom with her recognizable blonde hairstyle and blue eyes.

The pink dress achieves a voluminous silhouette through darted sleeves and layers of tulle underneath the skirt.

The royal look is completed with a crown headband and a pink parasol accessory.

The “Super Mario Licca-chan Mario Style” and “Super Mario Licca-chan Princess Peach Style” dolls are priced at 5,500 yen (approx. $36 USD / £28 GBP) each.
Sales are scheduled to begin at general hobby goods retailers, such as HobbyLink Japan, on Saturday, April 18, 2026.
