Bandai Fully Reveals Gundam’s Exclusive New Universal Century Collection Starring Zaku II and Lalah Sune
Bandai has fully revealed its upcoming “Ichiban Kuji Mobile Suit Gundam UNIVERSAL CENTURY SAGA INTERLUDE,” expanding the previously announced Zaku II and Lalah Sune figures with a huge Garma Zabi display and prizes spanning several generations of the Universal Century.
The new collection places a particularly heavy focus on Zeon and the original Mobile Suit Gundam, with three different Zaku II BUSTISAN displays joined by the first MASTERLISE figure of Lalah Sune and smaller collectibles inspired by Mobile Suit Variation designs and memorable moments from across the franchise.
Ichiban Kuji operates as a no-lose prize lottery where every ticket guarantees an item from a tiered lineup, with a separate Last One Prize awarded to whoever purchases the final remaining ticket at a participating location.
“UNIVERSAL CENTURY SAGA INTERLUDE” forms part of Bandai’s wider Universal Century Ichiban Kuji project, which began earlier in 2026 with a collection headlined by the “ν Gundam BUSTISAN,” “Char Aznable MASTERLISE” and “Sazabi BUSTISAN”.
That was followed in October by “Ichiban Kuji Mobile Suit Gundam UNIVERSAL CENTURY SAGA2,” which shifted the focus toward the original Gundam through the “RX-78-2 Gundam BUSTISAN” and the first “Amuro Ray MASTERLISE” figure.
The new “INTERLUDE” collection swings attention back toward Zeon, with the complete A through I prize lineup now revealed ahead of its November launch.
Let’s take a closer look at every prize!
- A Prize: “Zaku II BUSTISAN”
An approximately 16 cm bust of the standard mass-produced Zaku II, with the head, chest armor, shoulder shield, and spiked pauldron recreated through Bandai’s BUSTISAN display format.
The mono-eye can be moved into different positions, allowing its direction of sight to be adjusted for display.
- B Prize: “Zaku II (Black Tri-Stars) BUSTISAN”
An approximately 16 cm bust based on the Zaku II used by Black Tri-Stars leader Gaia, replacing the familiar mass-production colors with the unit’s darker custom appearance.
Its mono-eye is also movable rather than fixed in a single forward-facing position.
- C Prize: “Lalah Sune MASTERLISE”
Lalah Sune receives an approximately 22 cm MASTERLISE figure based on her appearance in the original Mobile Suit Gundam.
Bandai has sculpted Lalah in a more dynamic pose rather than using a straightforward standing display.
- D Prize: “Garma Zabi Hyper Mega Cross”
Garma’s portrait is reproduced across an enormous fabric display measuring approximately 200 cm tall and 140 cm wide.
The oversized cloth can be hung vertically on a wall or spread across a table, making it substantially larger than any of the figure prizes in the collection.
- E Prize: “Zaku Head Magnet”
Four randomized approximately 5 cm designs turn different Zaku heads into magnets, with the lineup including machines associated with Shin Matsunaga and Johnny Ridden alongside the unusual Zaku-headed machine seen in Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam.
- F Prize: “Rubber Charm”
Ten selectable approximately 7 cm designs combine memorable scenes with dialogue from across the Universal Century, including character moments involving Garma Zabi and Paptimus Scirocco.
- G Prize: “Universal Century Towel”
Five selectable designs use logos and imagery from different Universal Century entries across long, approximately 80 cm towel designs.
H Prize: “ACLLECT MSV Zaku Edition”.
Twenty approximately 8 cm acrylic stands focus on Zaku designs from the Mobile Suit Variation line, with two secret machines hidden within the randomized collection.
- I Prize: “Gundam Poster Collection”
Ten selectable B3 posters reproduce key visuals from different Universal Century anime, turning the lower prize tier into a wider celebration of Gundam history rather than keeping the entire collection restricted to the original series.
- Last One Prize: “Char’s Zaku II BUSTISAN”
Char Aznable’s famous red Zaku II becomes another approximately 16 cm BUSTISAN, awarded to whoever purchases the final remaining ticket.
Like the other Zaku busts, its mono-eye can be moved to change the direction of its gaze.
The “Char’s Zaku II BUSTISAN” will also serve as the collection’s Double Chance Campaign reward, giving another 30 winners the opportunity to receive the same figure after the lottery launches.
The heavy Zaku focus follows several other recent returns for the machines from the original Mobile Suit Gundam, with Bandai also confirming new re-releases for the “ROBOT SPIRITS
“Ichiban Kuji Mobile Suit Gundam UNIVERSAL CENTURY SAGA INTERLUDE” will launch in Japan from November 5, 2026 through Ichiban Kuji ONLINE and official Ichiban Kuji stores, with online sales scheduled to begin at 5:00 PM JST the same day.
Each draw will cost ¥900 (approximately $6 / £4), while the Double Chance Campaign for the “Char’s Zaku II BUSTISAN” will remain available through the end of February 2027 unless its allocation is exhausted earlier.
