WEGO Brings Death Note’s Dark World to Life With New Official Apparel Collection

Japanese streetwear retailer WEGO has announced a new collaboration with Death Note, introducing an apparel collection that draws heavily from the psychological thriller’s unmistakable visual style and dark atmosphere.
Known for its Harajuku roots and trend-driven fashion, WEGO has built a reputation for combining streetwear, vintage influences, Y2K aesthetics and anime-inspired designs, making it a natural fit for one of manga’s most iconic supernatural series.

Created by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, Death Note follows high school prodigy Light Yagami after he discovers a mysterious notebook capable of killing anyone whose name is written inside, sparking an intense battle of wits with the legendary detective L.

The new collection embraces the series’ signature themes of justice, mystery and psychological tension through a range of wearable items featuring memorable artwork and recognizable imagery from the franchise.

Leading the lineup is a collection of 10 short-sleeve graphic T-shirts, each priced at ¥3,959 (approx. $27 USD / £20 GBP), showcasing classic illustrations that capture the series’ distinctive atmosphere while highlighting key characters and scenes.

Fans looking for a lighter layering option can also pick up an all-over print sheer long-sleeve T-shirt for ¥3,629 (approx. $25 USD / £18 GBP), featuring artwork inspired by the world of Death Note.

The collection extends beyond apparel with a logo-inspired cap available for ¥2,859 (approx. $19 USD / £15 GBP), giving fans a more understated way to represent the series.

Matching socks featuring Death Note branding will also be released for ¥1,429 (approx. $10 USD / £7 GBP), while a themed bandana completes the lineup for ¥1,759 (approx. $12 USD / £9 GBP).

Rather than focusing on a single character, the collaboration celebrates the series as a whole, with designs reflecting the oppressive mood and supernatural themes that have made Death Note one of the most influential manga and anime franchises of the past two decades.

The collection places particular emphasis on artwork associated with Light Yagami, L and the series’ unforgettable visual identity, making it equally appealing to longtime fans and newcomers alike.
The Death Note x WEGO collection will launch on June 26, 2026, at selected WEGO locations across Japan, as well as through the WEGO Online Store which offers international shipping via WorldShopping.
