Vaunted: Sci-Fi Tactical RPG Heading to PC

Publisher Hooded Horse and developer Lost Lake Games have officially announced Vaunted, a new science-fiction tactical RPG set to launch in Early Access in 2026.
The development team at Lost Lake Games is comprised of industry veterans with experience on major titles such as StarCraft and Guild Wars.
The game will be available on PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store, and it will also be included in the Game Pass library upon its release.
Set a millennium after the collapse of the last galactic empire, the narrative follows three mismatched scoundrels who must navigate a chaotic universe filled with ancient ruins and ruthless rivals.
The gameplay features a unique blend of turn-based planning and real-time action, allowing players to leap into cover, set overwatch angles, and use physics-based combat to their advantage.
Players will experience the story through three unreliable narrators: Dyse, a cunning thief; Gendril, a battle-hardened mercenary; and Kyvaath, a powerful warlock with cybernetic enhancements.
As the story unfolds, players can switch between these perspectives, with every lie or half-truth opening new branching paths and wildly different outcomes for each run.
The game emphasizes strategic depth through diverse character builds, procedural missions, and a reputation system that carries over even after a hero’s death.
Tactical combat is further enhanced by the lack of fixed initiative orders, giving players full control over the sequence of activations for their squad.
The announcement was accompanied by a trailer and screenshots showcased during the Xbox Partner Preview on March 26, 2026.
