Amnesia: Rebirth Launches on Switch 2 April 30

Publisher Abylight Studios has announced that the Frictional Games developed horror title Amnesia: Rebirth will officially launch for the Nintendo Switch 2 on April 30, 2026.

The first-person narrative experience was originally released for PlayStation 5 and PC on October 20, 2020, and later arrived on Xbox Series and Xbox One consoles on October 20, 2022.

This upcoming version is specifically optimized for the new Nintendo hardware to ensure the masterpiece maintains its atmosphere and performance.

Players take on the role of Tasi Trianon, who finds herself stranded deep within the Algerian desert with a fractured memory of how she arrived there.

The gameplay requires users to retrace their journey and gather fragments of the past while attempting to survive a pitiless horror that threatens to consume them.

Key features of the title include exploring detailed environments to uncover hidden histories and solving complex puzzles to progress through the story.

Survival depends on the careful management of limited physical and mental resources, adding a layer of psychological tension to the exploration.

Encounters with horrific creatures require players to use their wits and a deep understanding of the world to escape rather than relying on traditional combat.

Abylight Studios released a new announcement trailer alongside the news to showcase how the game looks on the next-generation handheld platform.
